I thought about eating bad today.

And I did... a little. I had some grilled chicken this morning with some potatoes and green beans... but I ate the skin. Terrible terrible me. Then I came home and feasted on peanut butter, hummus and tofu cheese dogs. I was still hungry somehow and decided to eat a bunch of fruits and some greek yogurt.

Oh... my.... god....

Greek yogurt is amazing. I love it so so so so soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much. I'm so full from all of that. I just want to eat a ton of fruits and yogurt. I don't add sugar to my fruits because I feel like it's already sweet.

Now I want  a blender to make blackberry and raspberry smoothies with a bit of greek yogurt :-)

I'm loving life right now.

So things didn't go well for me today. I woke up with a nasty allergic reaction. My skin broke out into several hives and I've been getting rashes like crazy. I had some eggs in the morning with some cheese and bread, and just recently i had a bowl of ramen. On top of that, old friends of mine have been stabbing me in the back so I guess you could say that this isn't going to be one of my good days.

Though, I'm not going to let that bring me down. I've realized today that I have so much work to do. I have to lose weight. I need to do well in school. I need to start my beauty channel and stay on top of the latest trends. I need to apply to internships and excel in my future career. I want to rub it in my haters' faces that I'm much better than they'll ever be. I guess it comes from the competitive side of me. I'll do whatever I can tonight, and then tomorrow is a new day...

Challenge Accepted.

Hey everyone, it's been like forever since I've written a blog post. Unfortunately, I've fallen completely off the bandwagon of my good health and exercise, and thus I need to make my way back on again. I'm now 144 lbs. There's a wedding in two weeks and at the moment, I'm doing some serious crash dieting and crazy exercise, all the while handling school. I want to be at least 5 lbs lighter than what I am by my birthday. Today, I'll be headed to the gym to do 45 minutes of elliptical training on a medium intensity and then some strength training afterwards. Come spring time, I want my ideal beach body. I don't know if any of you know, but I did switch thermogenics. I originally was on oxy elite pro, and now I'm on D4 Thermal shock. According to the GNC specialists, they say that the D4 is better than the oxy elite pro, but I don't get quite the "thermal shock" as I would with OEP. I guess it comes with extreme dieting and exercise.

I do not encourage anyone to do anything dangerous to themselves in order to achieve their goal weight. While I am "crash dieting," I am making sure I get the proper vitamins and minerals that I need daily, I'm just cutting out junk food from my diet.... which means I'll eventually have to give up my love for peanut butter.
Sooooo....

MASSIVE DIET TIPS FOR LOSING A LOT OF WEIGHT!!!!

  • DRINK PLENTY OF WATER. You cannot get by without water if you want to lose weight. Plus, I probably have a crap load of water retention. Water is a natural appetite suppressant and it does so many good things (better skin, nails, gets rid of cellulite... probably).
  • Take multivitamins. Ask your doctor what multivitamins are best for you. If you hate swallowing pills like I do, take gummy vitamins. If you're afraid overdosing on vitamins, take half the recommendations and consume the rest in raw fruits and vegetables. Make sure you eat breakfast before you take your vitamins.
  • Space out your meals and keep a calorie count. I find that planning ahead makes life so much easier when eating properly. It's really hard to figure this stuff out. They generally say to eat every 3-4 hours to keep your metabolism running well and to not eat at least 2 hours before you sleep. I like to have a high calorie breakfast along with fruits and nuts as snacks, sandwiches and salads for lunch, and lean meats and vegetables for dinner. Chew slowly, take your time in eating. You don't need to have one bite after the other. Sometimes, it helps to eat with someone else and have a conversation while you're eating. Before you know it, you're full. Just make sure to not talk with your mouth full.
  • EXERCISE!!!! This is a must if you want that dream body of yours. If you rely on just eating healthy, it will probably take you a month to lose 2 lbs. If you're too lazy to go to the gym, get yourself a DVD  or hit the internet for some awesome exercises.
  • Write down your goals where you can see it every day. For me, I put sticky notes on my laptop. You can take a dry-erase marker and write it on your mirror, and yes it will come off. I usually draw mustaches. Keep small goals to keep you going.
  • Get a friend to do it with you, if you can. Nothing gets you motivated like another person pushing you or vice versa. It makes thing more fun and realistic.
  • Know your limits. Don't beat yourself up if you can't work out in the gym for 3 hours straight like adrianna lima. Don't eat 300 calories a day and complain about how you're suffering more than you're benefiting. Make sure you do the best you can and give it all you've got.
  • Use Positive affirmations. They sound stupid and dorky, but they work, and if people make fun of you for it, use that as your motivation. Rub it in their faces once you've reached your ultimate goal.
  • Sleep. Your body needs rest, so give it some rest. If you have insomnia from time to time, don't freak. Just focus on relaxing and deep breathing. Don't sleep too much though. It ends up making you lazy.
  • Schedule a cheat meal once a week. It gives you something to look forward to, and it makes you sane.
Hope this helps!!!!

Sick...

I have a cold. It sucks major balls, but oh well. It's something I need to put up with for now. Annnyyyyhow, I've noticed how whenever I feel sick, I allow myself to eat just about anything. I also do this when I'm under tons and tons of stress, or if things aren't just going right. Of course, some of you may argue that it isn't exactly the best thing for me and that I should stay strong with my diet and exercise. I, however, think that its important to allow ourselves to cheat, but cheat smartly. This doesn't mean that when I'm sick, I go to the nearest buffet and wolf down all their fatty noodles and spring rolls (I'm dying to do that). A small bowl of ramen noodles is my usual comfort food and it really does hit the spot when it comes to feeling sick or anything. Now, I know for sure that having ramen every single day isn't exactly beneficial to my body, so I save it for those occasions when I can't have milk products.

I'm in need of new recipes. I'm getting quite sick of the food I've been eating constantly, though I need to find foods that are 300 calories or less for an entire serving. I've got work to do, and I need to make a bed time of 10!

Take care lovies,

What a terrible week!!!!!!!

I'm so glad this week is done and over with. It has already been one hell of a nightmare. I have mosquito bites everywhere, I've been binging like crazy because of exams, it has just been horrid. Anyhow, its Saturday today and as usual, I've got my full hours of beauty sleep. There's a wedding today, so I'm most likely going to take all day to get ready. I have a ton of water weight to remove so I'll be tapping that water for sure ;-)

Ahhhh puns.

I hate the fact that I gain water weight so easily. When I drink a lot of water, I end up having to run to the bathroom every five minutes. Its really a pain. I realized that my body is made for survival. My metabolism is so slow, my energy levels are low, I retain water like no one's business. People with fast metabolisms are friggin blessed. I have to result to eating so little and exercising a ton, plus taking thermos.

No diet tip today. I can't think of one.

Temptations suck.

I'm a huge sucker for temptation. If I see a bag of sour gummy worms, they'll probably be gone within 30 seconds and traveling down my esophagus. Also, I love meat like crazy. I'm trying to get my Halloween hottie body though and succumbing to temptation isn't exactly the best thing for me, or for anyone else trying to achieve  something that requires immense dedication. As most of you all know, I'm currently in college in my junior year, and while I'm so hopelessly attempting to be a great student, so too am I trying to drop another 20 lbs. I think I can do it in two months, too, I just have been a lazy ass about it since things like exams and school events get in the way (I'm currently the treasurer of the American Chemical Society of my school. Yay Chemistry!). That recent sentence was probably grammatically incorrect, but I just don't give damn :-)

So I'm just going to dig right into my favorite thing about these blogs,

Diet Tip of the Day

Dining halls / All-you-can-eat Buffets. The dieting world's worst nightmare, especially for fat people. You pay around $10 for as much food as your heart desires at the current moment. They're nice treats once in a while, but if you find yourself hitting that buffet quite often, or if you're currently a college student and your options are limited to a dining hall, avoid the food smothered in cream, drenched in butter, saturated with salt, and deep fried. Its going to make you gain weight. We don't want that. Yes I do know it's the good stuff. Too bad, you're dieting. Boost up your metabolism and you can eat to your heart's desire.

ABC Diet

So recently on Project Wellness, some of the girls mentioned doing an ABC diet. I had never heard of it before at the time, so being the curious cat I usually am on a daily basis, I decided to look it up. Turns out, it's called the Ana Boot Camp Diet. As if anorexia isn't a boot camp itself in the eating world, there happens to be an Ana boot camp. I couldn't stop laughing when I read about the ridiculous calorie restrictions and the random days of fasting.

So the diet plan of the ABC diet goes like this:

Day 1: 500 calories (or less)
Day 2: 500 calories (or less)

Day 3: 300 calories
Day 4: 400 calories
Day 5: 100 calories
Day 6: 200 calories
Day 7: 300 calories
Day 8: 400 calories
Day 9: 500 calories
Day 10: Fast
Day 11: 150 calories
Day 12: 200 calories
Day 13: 400 calories
Day 14: 350 calories

Day 15: 250 calories
Day 16: 200 calories
Day 17: Fast
Day 18: 200 calories
Day 19: 100 calories
Day 20: Fast
Day 21: 300 calories
Day 22: 250 calories
Day 23: 200 calories
Day 24: 150 calories
Day 25: 100 calories
Day 26: 50 calories
Day 27: 100 calories
Day 28: 200 calories
Day 29: 200 calories
Day 30: 300 calories
Day 31: 800 calories
Day 32: Fast
Day 33: 250 calories
Day 34: 350 calories
Day 35: 450 calories
Day 36: Fast
Day 37: 500 calories
Day 38: 450 calories
Day 39: 400 calories
Day 40: 350 calories
Day 41: 300 calories
Day 42: 250 calories
Day 43: 200 calories
Day 44: 200 calories
Day 45: 250 calories
Day 46: 200 calories
Day 47: 300 calories
Day 48: 200 calories
Day 49: 150 calories
Day 50: Fast

I love how each day is calorie specific, as if every food you eat has the exact same calories as what it says on the label (NOT!!!). The random days of fasting is what really makes this whole thing just crazy. You'll lose weight while fasting, but you'll lose MUSCLE TISSUE, NOT FAT, and saying that you don't want to gain muscle is absolute bullshit. Just because you gain a pound or two from muscle tissue doesn't mean you're going to look super bulky. I recently worked on a model who happened to be VERY muscular, though she works out like a demon and lifts VERY heavy weights. Muscle tissue increases your metabolism.

Greater metabolism = more calories burned = more fat loss = better bodies = happier life.

How are you suppose to exercise effectively if you are eating around 200 calories a day? I swear, these diets are made for lazy people who don't want to work out, and just want to focus on dieting alone. Hey, I'm a lazy ass myself, but if I can push myself to workout, so can anyone else. Also, what happens if you eat 400 calories instead of 300 calories on day 7? Do you have to start over? Good luck sticking to this diet if you plan on doing it because this diet screams fail.

From my experience and research, the BEST AND FASTEST WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT is

1. Eat foods every 3 hours that are NUTRITIONALLY DENSE.
2. Eat up to 1200 calories
3. Don't over-eat during meals
4. Avoid artificial sweeteners and high fructose corn syrup
5. Do workouts that work out more than one muscle group and keep your rest times EXTREMELY short.

So...........

Diet Tip of the Day

My plan works better. Its proven. ABC diet is another stupid fad-diet that doesn't work.
